how do i buy a plate as a gift?
Easy! The process works just the same as a normal purchase, except we list you as the ‘Applicant’, and the gift recipient as the ‘Owner’ (who has the “Right to Receive”). Please ensure that you tell us if the plate is a gift, to avoid any confusion. You will then be sent one of our Gift Packs with a laminated copy of the plate for you to present to the recipient. The recipient then requests the plate to be manufactured when required*
PLUS - As long as the plate has not been manufactured, the gift recipient does have the option to change the plate within 30 calendar days.
*PLEASE NOTE: Personalised Plates Ltd. will pay the Government plate manufacturing & transaction fees provided the plates are made within 90 calendar days of the payment completion. However, if the plates are made outside the 90 calendar days you/the recipient will be required to pay any applicable fees directly to the plate manufacturer upon requesting your plates.
